National Drug Testing Collection Sites
Access to 5,000+ certified collection sites across all 50 states — coordinated through A WorkSAFE Service so your documentation stays consistent.
Testing Anywhere Your Employees Work
Most drug and alcohol testing happens where your employees are — not where your HR office is. For Oregon employers with drivers, field crews, remote workers, or employees who travel, that means collections need to happen outside Oregon and outside your direct control.
A WorkSAFE Service provides access to a nationwide network of more than 5,000 certified drug and alcohol testing collection sites. When an employee needs to be tested away from home base, we coordinate the referral, verify the site’s certification, and ensure results flow back through our MRO-reviewed process with the same documentation you’d expect from a local collection.
How It Works
1. Contact Us
Tell us where your employee is located and what type of test is required — pre-employment, random, post-accident, or reasonable suspicion.
2. We Find a Certified Site
We identify a DOT-certified collection site near your employee, confirm availability, and provide the referral — usually same day.
3. MRO-Reviewed Results
Results come back through our MRO process. You receive the same documented, actionable result you'd get from a local collection.
Why TPA Coordination Matters
Chain-of-custody integrity. Sending an employee to a random clinic or urgent care for a drug test almost always produces chain-of-custody problems. Federal testing requires specific procedures, specific forms, and specific laboratory routing. A TPA-coordinated referral ensures all of that happens correctly.
MRO review on every result. Without MRO review, an employer who receives a positive result from a lab and acts on it risks taking action against an employee who was taking a lawfully prescribed medication. Every result through our national network goes through the same MRO review process as a local test.
Consistent documentation. Whether the test happened in Portland or Pittsburgh, your records look the same and hold up under DOT audit or legal challenge.

Who Uses National Collection Sites?
DOT regulated employers whose employees and applicants are in multiple states — pre-employment testing must happen wherever the employee or applicant is, not only in Oregon.
Construction and field-service employers with crews working on out-of-state job sites who still need to be included in random pools and tested on the same schedule as home-base employees.
Employers hiring remote workers who need pre-employment testing completed before a start date regardless of the candidate’s location.
Any employer whose post-accident or reasonable suspicion testing needs arise outside Oregon’s borders.
